WCT Qualifier and Polo for the Common Good
We LOVE the way the Ladies Auxilliary of Dallas is promoting the game through the WCT and the upcoming qualifier and gala on October 1st. Excellent poloists all, these ladies more importantly get what the sport is really about: not so much the swank of the parties, but the thrill of the game itself and the overriding fun of doing something that not only combines skill and finesse but, in the final analysis, helps a worthy cause besides. Having written about the game for more than 20 years, I am sick of people who just attend the matches to linger under the hospitality tents and swill champagne. It's a grand game. Here's hoping that you get out there and see it with new eyes.
